Ranjani is a seasoned MBA professional and finance expert with a 20+ year track record as operator and advisor on a number of growth and restructuring initiatives. She has operating experiences and expertise in Banking (Retail, Corporate and Correspondent), Money Services Business, Travel Services, Corporate Secretarial, Accounting and Training Companies gained from working for top global public and private companies. Having lived and worked in 3 continents (USA, UK and Singapore) across the world, Ranjani is able to collaborate effectively across borders and cultures to unlock value for clients.
Ranjani is the Executive Director of Changi Travel Exchange (a wholly owned subsidiary of the Changi Travel Services and the Changi Airport Group) approved by the Monetary Authority of Singapore. In this capacity she manages the strategic direction of the company, and works closely with the department heads across CTS in terms of Existing and new product offerings across departments that involves any type of payment service which falls under Regulation. She also works closely with the Regulator, as well ensures that all financial services offered are AML Compliant to the local laws. She is regularly invited as a speaker for prestigious global events to speak on Singapore as a key business destination and key insights into AML/CFT.
Ranjani was also recently appointed as the Honorary Chairperson of the International Trade Council, Singapore Chapter handling South East Asia, where she is focused on promoting and enabling cross border trade amongst corporates around the world. In this capacity she works closely with Chambers, Embassies and Corporates to facilitate this. As an extension of her role at the ITC and to help clients make informed decisions about their business expansion plans (strategy and on-the-ground execution) to Singapore as well as provide expert guidance in the area of Ant-money laundering (AML/CFT), Ranjani engages with Olimea Advisory Pte Ltd where the Singapore Chapter of the ITC is also housed.
Prior to this, Ranjani was the Director and Chief Operations Officer of CPA Partnership Pte Ltd where she played a key role in expanding the firm’s services in clients looking to move to Singapore, strengthened its marketing & business development capabilities, accelerated growth as well as assumed key board responsibilities that included listed companies. Under her the leadership, the firm’s revenue grew by 100% and was awarded the prestigious Best Consulting firm Title at the Go Global Awards 2019. As a Senior Banker, Ranjani was the Deputy Country Head for Wells Fargo Bank Singapore and was seconded from the US to take on this position. She had the overall responsibility for the Singapore branch in the area of correspondent banking for both Account Management and in AML/CFT. Under her leadership, Wells Fargo recorded the highest revenues in the 35 years of operation in Singapore. In recognition of her achievement, she was bestowed with the Global Sales Champion Award by the bank.
Ranjani passion in giving back to the community has enabled her to serve as a grassroots leader for the People’s Association in Singapore over the last 5 years. Passionate about Women centric volunteer work, she is a board member at Club2Care, a non-profit that helps women in distress lead better lives. An accomplished classical Indian dancer, she is a Board Member at the Singapore Indian Fine Arts Society and plays an active role in promoting arts in culture as a noted emcee, judge, teacher and performer.
