Robert Mukiza
Director General of Uganda Investment Authority
Robert Mukiza is the Director General of the Uganda Investment Authority. Prior to joining the Authority, Robert served as the Deputy Director for the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) and Representative to Ethiopia, the African Union, and United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA). Robert also served as a Director of Hong Kong-based Acadia Energy; Head of the United Nations Country Team Coordination Unit in Botswana; Lead Economist for the United Nations in the Maldives; and a researcher at the United Nations Research Institute for Social Development in Switzerland.
Robert has vast experience in international investment and the private sector. He holds a Master of Science degree in International Finance and Economic Development from the University of Kent; a Bachelor of Science degree in Quantitative Economics from Makerere University; and has studied Strategic Leadership at the Said Business School of Oxford University.
Uganda Investment Authority (UIA) is a statutory agency mandated to initiate and support measures that enhance investment in Uganda and advise Government on appropriate policies conducive to investment promotion and growth.
