How long have the Go Global Awards been in existence?

The Go Global Awards are a function of the International Trade Council (a non-profit, peak-body, chamber of commerce which was established in 1956).

Various awards formats have been used by the Council since its foundation, culminating in the 2019 re-brand as the ‘Go Global Awards’.

Who are the judges?

Judges are selected from a pool of leading members of the International Trade Council. Each one is asked to declare any interests they have such as former colleagues or employers so that the judging process is carried out fairly. You can see a list of judges here.

How are judges selected?

Judges are invited to participate in the competition based on their experience, business acumen and expertise. Each panel includes different nationalities and they are naturally well-versed in the cultural aspects of each of the finalists’ countries.

Who are the sponsors?

The organizers of the Go Global Awards are the International Trade Council, a non-profit, peak-body chamber of commerce. The sponsors include leading government trade agencies, legal firms and related service providers.

How much does it cost to enter?

There is no charge to enter the Go Global Awards or to win a Go Global Award.

What do short-listed entrants receive?

Short-listed individuals and organizations will be given the opportunity to present a live (recorded) elevator pitch in front of a virtual judging panel. Live judging will occur online.

What do the winners receive?

Winners receive an award trophy, press release & associated media coverage.

Winners will also receive a 12-month premier listing in the International Trade Directory (valued at $500) and free Quality in Business Certification (valued at $1995).

The Awards’ public relations team will also work to generate international, regional, and local exposure for honorees.

When will the short-list be announced?

The short-listing is expected to be announced on the 24th of August 2021.

When will the judging and awards ceremony be?

This year the live judging sessions and awards ceremony will be conducted online.

Finalists announced: Tuesday, 24th August 2021

Live (virtual) judging day: Tuesday, 14th September 2021

Virtual awards ceremony: Tuesday, 5th October 2021

Will the awards ceremony be broadcast?

Yes, the awards presentations will be broadcast live, worldwide, via live-streaming.

How many award winners are there?

There will be 33 awards winners – 1 per category.

Who can submit an entry?

Any business, government entity, non-profit organization or individual which is involved in international trade.

This includes those directly involved in international trade – i.e. manufacturers, wholesalers, exporters, importers etcor indirectlyi.e. logistics, accounting, media, legal, finance, insurance etc and all others involved in any aspect of supporting international trade in some form or another.

Can I nominate myself or my own company / organization?

Yes. We accept self-nominated and third party entries for both organizations and individuals.

How many submissions can be made for the same individual or organization?

You are allowed one submission per individual or organization only. During the submission process you can select which award(s) are most relevant and apply for all at the same time.

Can I enter in more than one category?

Yes, during the submission process you can enter as many categories as you want.

When is the entry deadline?

The entry deadline for the 2021 Go Global Awards is the 3rd August 2021.

How do I enter?

Simply complete the online application form. You’ll get an on-screen notification and an email to confirm we’ve received your entry.

Is my submission confidential?

Yes – all awards submissions are treated as highly confidential.

Only the Go Global Awards team – consisting of the International Trade Council‘s leadership and trade commissioners, judging panel and sponsors will view your entries. Information about nominees is not released to anyone else without prior approval.

I made a mistake on my entry. Can I edit it?

Our system does not allow editing existing entries however you can submit a new application which will immediately disregard any earlier submission.

Alternatively you can contact our office and we can edit the entry manually.
