Brigita Habjan Štolfa, BSc in Social Sciences, has more than 10 years experience in the field of strategic planning, regional development, tourism development, entrepreneurship and internationalisation. She is an experienced project manager with references from the project management of various European and national co-financing programmes. Since 2017, she has been preparing and leading the “WEST SLOVENIA Invest” programme, which is intended to represent and present the investment potential of the Northern Primorska region. For the past 5 years, she has been successfully leading the Regional Development Agency ROD.

From the very beginning, RDA ROD Ajdovščina have focused on community development using the bottom up approach. We perceive the needs of the local environment, take into account community initiatives and strengthen interregional cooperation. We fulfill this part of the mission by promoting an entrepreneurial mindset and developing entrepreneurial values, especially among young people. Through our work, we also contribute to the development of rural areas and agriculture and also the promotion of the use of locally produced products. In order to consolidate the path to entrepreneurship, we perform the tasks of managing and promoting investment opportunities in the Goriška region. We are involved in tourism promotion activities and offer advice and assistance in applying for calls for proposals. We fulfill our mission by respecting the principles of sustainable development and respecting coherent environmental planning.

Our vision is to build our future on the promotion of entrepreneurship and the focus on digital while achieving environmental sustainability and, consequently, care for rural development.
