Matt Weldon has served as the director of the Rhode Island Department of Labor & Training since being appointed by Governor Dan McKee in 2021.

Director Weldon previously served as the chief of program development and assistant director at the Department of Labor & Training. He also worked as an adult drug court manager on the Rhode Island Superior Court.
