Mr. Nanthapol Sudbanthad is currently the Director of Thailand Board of Investment and Investment Consul of the Royal Thai Consulate-General of New York under the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the United States. He is responsible for attracting inward investment from companies based in U.S. and Canada. He was promoted to the position in 2023 after having served as a Director of Thailand Board of Investment in Mumbai, India for five years. Before he assumed his duty in Mumbai,      he had worked as an Investment Promotion Officer. He was responsible for analyzing investment projects in the Agriculture and Food Industries for more than 20 years.

The Office of the Board of Investment (BOI) is a government agency under the Office of the Prime Minister. The BOI was established in 1966 in accordance with the provisions of the Industrial Promotion Act. Its core roles and responsibilities are to promote valuable investment, both investment into Thailand and Thai overseas investment by providing information, services, and incentives. The BOI has 16 overseas offices around the world. In the United States of America, it has New York and Los Angeles offices.
